I am a bilingual, clinical psychologist, licensed in the state of New York.  I have practiced psychotherapy for more than 20 years and have been in private practice for 5 years working with individuals, couples and families across the lifespan.  I am currently practicing in midtown Manhattan.  I offer services in both English and Spanish that includes comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations.

I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the City College of the City University of New York with a specialization in Child and Family Psychology.  In addition, I received a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from the City College of New York and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from San Diego State University.  I completed my clinical internship at Jacobi Medical Center as well as a clinical externship at Bellevue Hospital Center.  In addition, I taught a wide variety of psychology courses throughout the City University of New York system, at both the undergraduate and graduate level for 15 years.  My educational and clinical experiences are rich and varied.  I am a psychodynamically oriented psychologist that has extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, relational conflict, personality disorder and multicultural issues where I am actively involved in reducing disparities in access to high quality mental health care services.

Prior affiliations include New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Bellevue Hospital Center, Jacobi Medical Center, Harlem Hospital Center, the New York City Board of Education, St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital and Harlem Dowling Westside Center for Children and Family Services.
