I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the states of New Jersey and New York. I joined Dr. Garcia’s practice in May 2014 and work with clients ranging in age across the lifespan, from infants to geriatric adults presenting with a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties. I offer services in a variety of therapeutic modalities including individual therapy, couples therapy, dyadic therapy and family therapy.
I earned my PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology at Pace University. Prior to my doctoral training, I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology with Honors from the University of Maryland – College Park. My clinical experiences have included working with individuals coping with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional defiant/conduct disorders, psychosis, parent/child relational issues, ADHD, dementia and attachment disorders in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing homes and schools. I also have extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments with children and adolescents and specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and DIR interventions.
Prior affiliations include the Youth Consultation Service at the Institute for Infant and Preschool Mental Health In East Orange, NJ where I specialized in play therapy and the treatment of mother-baby dyads and families and CHE Senior Psychological Services in NY. I am a member of the New York State Psychological Association.
