Frequently Asked Questions

A psychological evaluation includes an in-depth clinical interview, a mental status examination, standardized testing, and behavioral observations. It also involves a review of your history in various areas, such as medical, academic, or occupational.

To prepare for a psychological evaluation, list your symptoms with examples, gather your medical and personal history, and bring any required documents, such as identification. It’s also important to be honest and well-rested.

A neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of brain functioning across key areas, including visual-spatial ability, attention and concentration, memory, executive functioning, and more. It involves a clinical interview and standardized testing.

Our autism psychological evaluation includes a neuropsychological assessment, in-depth interviews, assessments of cognitive and socio-emotional functioning, and standardized tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). We also review developmental history and interview parents or caregivers.

The most accurate standardized tools for diagnosing autism are the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI-R). We use these instruments, along with psychometric tests and in-depth interviews, to guide the evaluation process. While there is no single test that replaces a professional diagnosis, these tools provide the highest accuracy when used together by a trained specialist.

Not all immigration cases do. However, it is often a necessary step in obtaining legal status in the U.S., and we are here to help. While these assessments do not guarantee a specific outcome, they can assist the court in determining whether an individual or family can lawfully remain in the country.

An immigration psychological evaluation documents an individual’s mental and emotional state, helping strengthen legal cases by providing evidence of trauma, hardship, or other significant challenges.
