I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with experience providing individual, group, and family therapy across the lifespan and in a range of clinical settings. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Addictions from Montclair State University, where I also completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Social Work and Child Advocacy.
My clinical experience includes working with children as young as five through adults in their sixties, supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and life transition challenges, substance use concerns, and a variety of other difficulties. I have provided counseling in crisis intervention services, family reunification settings, and addiction recovery programs, helping clients through both immediate challenges and long-term growth. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the strength and resilience that people of all ages bring to therapy.
I view counseling as a collaborative process rooted in trust, empathy, and self-discovery. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where clients of all backgrounds—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, culture, or ability—can feel seen, supported, and empowered. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), play therapy, family systems therapy, and mindfulness-based and solution-focused techniques, while tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I also value collaboration with other professionals, including teachers, psychiatrists, and community providers, to ensure clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
I believe that therapy is not only about addressing symptoms but about fostering personal growth and self-understanding. I strive to help each client feel empowered, supported, and equipped to make meaningful changes in their life.
